Falsely Accusing Someone of Rape

Hey,

Today my best friends little brother, a guy that I consider family, was falsely accused of rape. Now, he's done a lot of things that I don't approve of, and I don't know him as well as I used to, but I know what kind of person he is, and he would NEVER rape someone.

What I want to tell you is, think before you say something. This could ruin his life and he doesn't deserve that. Rape is a serious thing, and you should always tell the police and your parents, not the guys sister. I don't know about other states, but in California falsely accusing someone of rape is a crime. I truly feel sorry for this girl.

Just be smart about what you say and do.

(If you ever feel like you can't tell your friends or family something, but need to tell someone , my email is always open. I know I'm just some random stranger on the internet, but sometimes telling someone can help. fred_the_leaf@yahoo.com)

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 27: Talk about your siblings.

Hey!!!

Day 27.

Talk about your siblings.
-Ah, my siblings, I have two brothers, one biological, the other step. My biological brother, Kevin, and I don't get along most of the time, but he's my brother, so I love him anyway (and if he didn't exist, neither would my beautiful niece, Kayden. #SilverLining). And my step-brother, I don't really now him all that well (my dad only got married a couple of years ago, and he's 21 (now), so we haven't really spent much time together), but my post about dog whisperers is mostly about him.

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 26: Your religious beliefs.

Hey!!

Day 26

Your religious beliefs.
-Why do people always gotta bring up religion? I don't really have a religion because over the last few years I've bounced between Christian and agnostic (I was atheist for a minute, but I do believe that there's something out there, so that didn't last long), but for a while now I've stuck with agnostic.

EDIT: I should of seen this coming, but apparently some of you don't know what agnostic means. This is what I tell people when they ask, basicly I believe in a "higher power", but I don't name it, worship is, and stuff like that. It's a bit mor complicated than that and there's a lot of debate about what exactly it is, but everyone has different views about every other religion anyway, so why not this one?

Disclaimer: I have nothing against religion, the majority of my friends are religious in some way or another, it's just not for me.

This Is What I Do in English Class!

Hey!!!

So, we had a sub in English today (my teacher's wife went into labor last night and her water broke in at 11:16. We're all very excited for Seitelbaby) and, we were supposed to be working on college application essays, but Lena and I forgot to bring ours, so we drew.

Whenever we have class together it usually ends up being a disaster.
I'm not much of an artist, so...yeah
If you read my tweet about the toilet, this is what that was about. Can you find the potato and the fly?
Lena drew this one for me :)

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 21: Something you can’t seem to get over.

Hey!

Day 21.

-Something you can't seem to get over.
Does it have to be something that happened a while ago? 'Cause at the moment I can't get over something my guy friend did and is still doing. One of my best guy friends got a girlfriend a couple days before school ended in June and things were fine nothing really changed, we talked on Facebook all summer and I thought things were great. On the first day of school I saw him on my way to class so I gave him a hug and went to class. He hasn't spoken to me since. And it's not like we just haven't seen each other, today he walked up to my friend who was sitting right next to me and had a 10 minute conversation with her and didn't even say hi to me. I don't know for sure, but I think it has something to do with his girlfriend (I don't think she likes me much), a lot of people thought we liked each other last year and somebody probably said something to her. I just wish he had the balls to at least tell me.

Insidious

Hey!

So, last night I tried to watch Insidious, but it was just really, really boring. I made it pretty far though, the dad was astro projecting to find the son. I guess it was sorta of scary, but the failed attempts at humor (the two guys in the suits arguing) kind of ruined the whole thing, and it was slow moving and boring. Insidious is one of the worst horror movies I've ever seen (beaten only by Idle Hands, because that movies is just really lame).

On Writing: Description in Writing

Hey!!

Description is something I really struggle with in my writing, I'm just bad at it. Dialogue? Great. Spotting plot holes? Fantastic. But Description? Most of the time I just forget to put it in, or when I do remember it comes out forced and awkward. I know, I know, that's what rewrites are for, but I hate rewrites (which is why nothing ever gets finished, if I finished something I'd have to eventually start rewriting it). I've spent a lot of time annoying the other writers in the Gaia writing forum about my lack of description problem, and though they have lots of helpful advice, I have trouble putting it into practice. So, I do descriptive essays (well not really essays) to practice description. I pick something, a room, and object, anything, although I prefer not to do people, and describe it in as much detail as I can, and I re-do it until I get it exactly the way I want it.

Country Strong

Hey!!

**Spoilers**

Ugh. This movie was just, ugh. I was so excited to see it and review it and it was just, ugh. There's a lot of character development that's missing, I mean these characters grow and change, but we can't see how or why, nothing happens. And the ending, She basically blamed her suicide on him. And the way they made it seem like she was all better and she was gonna go on and be fabulous again, ugh! (Jeanette also was not very happy with this movie). Okay that's all I have to say.

Red Riding Hood

Hey!!

**Spoilers**

I felt a little disappointed with this movie. I mean, it was a great movie and the acting(I love Amanda Seyfried)  was better than the acting in other movies by this director (She directed Twilight). But, I felt like they marketed this as a horror movie, and it just wasn't, I guess it was kind of suspenseful, but I was really disapointed. Also, the ending was really lame. There was no indication at all that is was the father and when they reveal the villian at the end, the viewer should be able to look back and say "I should've seen that!!" and my friend and I couldn't say that.

And I didn't like the way they incorporated the original story into this movie, I think they should have left it out completely, it just didn't work.

In case you're wondering we thought the wolf was the boyfriend, the ex-fiance, the grandma, the creepy random guy, or the priest (I don't think he was a priest, that's just what we were calling him, we didn't hear the characters names, so we made up our own).

If this movie had been marketed correctly I would have given it 5 stars, but because it wasn't I'm giving it 3.

My School Bag!!

Hey!!

So, I start school on Monday (boo!), and yesterday me and my best friend (follow her on Twitter, she's kind of hilarious) went bag shopping, and this is what I got:
It's Hadaki by Kalencom Brickabrack Tote Pod (I think that's the name of the collection). It's pretty, and big, and it holds ALL of my school supplies for even and odd days at the same time (We have half our classes on 1 day, the other half on another day), which is great because that means there will be lots of extra room. It's hot pink on the inside (not my favorite part), and it's light weight so I wont have back problems at the end of the year.

I really love this bag.

Oh, I got it at Marshals. Which means it was super cheap, It went from $90 to $35 to $20 and I got it for $15. And it's Eco friendly, which is always a plus.

Horror Movies in the Past Five Years

Honestly, I haven't really enjoyed the recent string of horror movies, there are a few exceptions (Orphan, for one)., of course, but most of the reviews I'l be doing will be on older horror movies. The ones that come out these days are more for making you jump than actual horror.

There's a long history of alcoholism in my family, and it's had a huge effect on my life. Paranormal Activity 3

Hey!

**SPOILER ALERT**

I feel like the only movie posts I've done have been me complaining about how much movies coming out are gonna suck, but honestly, how is the Paranormal Activity series successful? I remember when the first one came out, all the previews said it was "Pee your pants scary" and all that happened was that the Weegie board catches itself on fire. Which is unrealistic because fire is the only thing that can destroy a Weegie board, why would it try to destroy itself. Oh, and the chick gets possessed and kills her husband, but they don't even show that part. I was actually laughing the entire time.

The second one we had a sort of family movie night, and well, it was so boring we all pretty much asleep by the end. A few moving doors and a floating baby? This is what society says is terrifying? Maybe if your experiencing it, maybe, but until they come up with a way to experience movies with all five senses, they need to be focusing on making scary movies scary to the eyes and ears.

Paranormal Activity 3 looks to be just as lame as the first two.

Honestly, this probably started out as a low budget college project (real my ass) that's just gotten out of control and is just going  to cost the creators money in the end.

And it comes out October 21, my birthday. Also, if your into that one guy who said we were all gonna die on May 21, that day was changed to October 21. My birthday's shaping up to be awesome.

Ghosts

Hey!

I'm pretty sure you guys don't know this, but I love horror movies, I especially love horror movies that are based of true stories. I've been watching horror movies for as long as I can remember, in fact, on of my earliest memories is watching Thirteen Ghosts (all 3 versions) with my dad. That's probably my all time favorite movie.

I think my love comes from the fact that I believe in ghosts, and demons, and poltergeists (speaking of, The Poltergeist movies are amazing), I've believed in them my whole life. And (you're gonna think I'm crazy) I've been stalked by some sort of paranormal being for my entire life. He's an old man in a trench coat and top hat, but I've only ever seen him from behind, whenever I look behind me he's dissapearing behind a corner.

I guess I should start from the begining. I'm going to do this in a sort of "short story" way instead of linearly.

The Green Hand
-This is probably the most not believable part of this whole thing, the green hand. Some people say that it was just a green latex glove that someone was using to trick us, but I know that's not true. When I was little we lived in and apartment complex in my home town, and one day this green hand just showed up, it wasn't bloody, it was just green and kind of bruised and lumpy looking. It would just appear in random places, and eventually we got so freaked out that we braved touching it so we could throw it away. We tossed it in the dumpster and watched the garbage man take it away. And we thought that was the end of it, and it almost was. When I was ten we were in the car and the green hand was hanging out of the truck of the car in front of us. That was the last I saw of it.

The "Pilgrims"
-When I was 5 we moved to a new city, into a house. Well, I used to be unable to sleep with my door closed, until one night, It was midnight, and I look at my doorway, there are four people standing in my doorway, they're waying clothes similar to pilgrims, and they're covered in blood. I saw them a few more times and  started sleeping with my door closed.

My Nana
-About a year after my Nana died, me and my cousin were out trick-or-treating by ourselfs, we were a couple blocks away from my cousins house, when we hear my Nana's voice telling us to get home quickly. And if my cousin hadn't heard it too I would have thought I was crazy, but she did. And the next day we found out that a little ways away from where were a little boy had almost been hit by a car.

As I've gotten older the experiences have been happening less often, but I still believe. Call me crazy if you want, but you have your beliefs and I have mine.

Oh, If you didn't get the point of this post, this is the begining of my horror movie review "series"

My Dating Insecurities

Hey!

I know that lately I've been doing a lot more personal post, and that's probably going to continue. I just don't have anything else to post about at the moment.

My Dating Insecurities:
-I would never be able to date a bisexual guy..
-There's nothing wrong with people who are bisexual, or gay, or lesbian, but the idea of dating a bisexual guy makes me really insecure because not only could he cheat on me with a girl, he could cheat with a guy and that's kind of like stabbing me in the back, twisting the knife, and pouring a gallon of rubbing alcohol on it. I know that not all guys cheat, but I wouldn't be willing to take the chance unless it was someone I know and trust a lot.
-Guys who aren't virgins.
This is mostly due to the guys I know. I've had a lot of deep discussions with the guys I know about sex, and several of them have said straight up "If a girl offers me sex, I'm gonna do it." and this goes back to the cheating thing. It also has to do with the fact that I know that I'm not ready for sex, and I wont be for a while. I don't plan on having sex before I'm 18. It's too big a risk, My brothers fiance got pregnant at sixteen, and while I love my niece more than anything in the world, we all wish they both had been older (although, we were surprised that my brother didn't get anyone pregnant when HE was 16, especially since he was practically living with his girlfriend). I don't want to be in that position, ever. And I know that I'm not mature enough, I'm content just being a kid. :)
-Guys who've dated a lot.
-I think this one is kind of self-explanatory, the thought of being compared to another girl and coming up short is something that makes most girls insecure.
-Guys who do drugs.
-This is less of an insecurity and more of a definate no, expecially now. Before, my policy was as long as he wasn't doing it around me, he could do whatever he wanted. But now I just don't want to be around people who are willing to harm themselves and those around them like that.
-Guys who have a lot of girl   friends.
-Okay, I'm not one of those girls who gets super jealous and mad if my boyfriend talks to another girl, but if the majority of his friends on facebook are girls who call him "babe" or saying "you're such a cutie", I might get a little suspicious.

Of course, none of these are definate no's (except the drugs, I will not date someone who's doing drugs), they're just things that make me insecure.

I would really love it if others would do this.

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 8: Something you’re currently worrying about.

Hey!

Day 8! Day 8!

Something you're currently worrying about.

-My senior year. If you read my post about High school, you know that I'm absolutely terrified. It's not that it's my last year of highschool, or that I'm turning 18 and I'll be on my own soon (not even, I wont turn 18 'til 3 months into my freshman year of college), it's that, at the end of this year, I have to say goodybye to the friends who have become more a family to me than my actual family (that sounds bad. I love my family, really). We're all going off to different places around the country, some out of the country, and I don't know how to handle that. I've had these people around me, all of us supporting each other for the past 3 years, and I don't  know how to live without them anymore. I know it's pathetic, but just thinking about saying goodbye makes me want to start sobbing.

On Writing: Strong Female Characters in Todays Literature...They Don't Exist...

Hey!!

Todays post is the first post about writing, I've casually mentioned my writing before, but I haven't gone into details. Mostly because I have friends who read this and they don't really know that I write, it never comes up. (If you liked to read my writing you can find it Here, I've been really lazy about posting but, I'm determined to be more active.) Now, on to the post.

Strong female characters in todays Literature. I haven't read a book that was published after 1998 that has a strong female main character in a long time. It seems like everybody's writing about women who depend on men to be all big and bad and save them (I'll go on a feminist rant later). I'm not saying that the guy can't be the hero and save the day in the end, but I'm a bit tired of reading about girls who whine and talk about how dreamy the guys eyes are, I'd much rather read about a girl who actually does something.

The sad part about this new trend, is that these books are usually written by strong women. I just understand why they aren't writing about strong female characters, I know they're capable of it because they're decent writers. It has to be lack of characterisation, a lot of people don't realize that creating characters is a lot harder than naming them and deciding what they look like, you have to flesh them out and mold them into real people, otherwise you end up with flat two-dimensional characters that people don't want to read about, essentially, weak characters. But there's still no excuse for the agents, editors, and publishers that let stuff like that slip by.

One of my favorite books, In the Forest of the Night (Review found Here), doesn't have the best writing (she was 13 when she wrote it), but the main character is strong, still a bit two dimensional, but strong, and if a 13 year old can create a string female character, than these older women can. I know it's hard, I struggle with it, and I have to admit, my baby, the book I've been working on since I was 12, has a weak main female character, but I work everyday on making her stronger and more believable, just like I do with myself.

I guess another reason people create weak female characters is because of inexperience. A lot of these books are written by people who woke up one day and decided to write a book about the latest "trend" subject, and a month later they have the first draft done and it somehow gets published. And though I'm a little jealous that they can do that and get away with it, I'd much rather get published because my books are well written and have strong characters, than get published because my book follows a trend.

Anyway, I need some suggestions for books, what are some of your favorites?

Would you guys like to see more posts about writing?

Would you want to see a book collection post/ video? (It would be really long if I went through all my post in a single post, so I might do a couple videos on it and post them.)

That One Time When I Met Buster Posey

Hey!!

This is a story about the time I met Buster Posey, it'll probably get confusing and messy, but please bare with me.

If you don't know who Buster Posey is, he's a pitcher (I think) for the San Francisco Giants. A few months ago during spring break my friend Gabbi and I were meeting my friend Jeanette in SF,who happens to be obsessed with baseball and Buster Posey. Well, Jeanette's sister had gotten one of those insiders tips that Posey was going to a few random Bank of Americas in SF. Well, of course we have to try and find him. We start driving around stopping at the BoA's that we see with Gabbi, Jeanette's sister and me all searching the internet for clues. I mean, it's logical to assume that SOMEBODY would be bragging on twitter or facebook, but nothing. Until about an hour before the "event" is supposed to end, on twitter some company had posted where Posey was going to be for the rest of the "event". Well, were a little ways away from the bank and we had to pick up Jeanette's niece in a half hour. So what do we do? We speed, we ran a few stop signs, and maybe a couple yellow lights, but we made it, and Jeanette and her sister were very excited, Jeanette almost tackled him. Oh, and I made the mistake of saying I don't care about baseball in a room full of rabid baseball fans...

He was a lot younger than I was expecting (I don't really follow baseball) , and he was kind of awkward and shy, I don't think he ever expected to be as popular as he is.
It was fun, even for someone like me who doesn't like to watch baseball, I'd rather play it. Afterwards we went to The Dugout (Giants merchandise store) and Pier 39(?). At pier 39 (?) I almost got a onesie for my niece that said "You think I'm cute? Take a look at my aunt." But my brother would have killed me...

Here's a picture of Jeanette, her sister and Posey:

**Pleas don't speed, run stop signs, or yellow lights. It was dangerous and stupid, and if I had been the one driving it wouldn't have happened. Thank you!

Oh, and we convinced Gabbi that Taj Mahal is in SF.

**EDIT** Jeanette just informed me that Posey is a catcher.

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 7: Your opinion on cheating on people.

Hey!

Day 7 is here!

Your opinion on cheating on people.

Well, normally I just avoid talking about this topic, because it tends to make me angry, but for you guys, why not?  I honestly just don't get why people cheat. If you're not happy with who you're with, break up with that person. I know from personal experience that being cheated on hurts a lot more than being broken up with. I think that people who cheat need to grow a pair.

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 6:The person you like and why you like them.

Hey!!

It is officially day 6!

The person you like and why you like them.
-So, I'm not going to give you his name because he reads my blog, but his name starts with a "T". And I like him because he's amazing, and smart, and talented, and we can have a conversation about absolutely nothing or we can be talking about the most important thing we'll ever talk about, and either way, at the end, I feel like we're closer than we were before. And he's funny and entertaining, and very loyal/protective of people he cares about. And he's pretty amazing

Friends on Facebook Does Not Mean Friends in Real Life

Hey!

I have this friend on Facebook (and, ironically, were not really friends in real life), and he likes to complain that his Facebook friends aren't real friends. Well, here's a news flash, just because your friends on Facebook, doesn't mean you have to be friends in real life. Facebook is a social NETWORKING site. Which means it about being connected to people you work with, go to school with, are realated to. It's about being connected to what's going on in the world.

I'm definately not friends with everybody I'm friends with on Facebook, a good chunk of my Facebook friends are family members. And the rest of them are people I go to school with.

I'm just a little bit sick of people taking Facebook so seriously. (and yes I am putting a Joker picture here.)

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 3: What kind of person attracts you?

Hey!

It's time for day 3!!!

What kind of person attracts you?
-I'm not sure if this question is referring to like dating wise, or just people in general, so I'm going to go with people in general, and it's totally going to be the complete opposite of the majority of my friends, my school is really small, so friend options were slim, but I wouldn't trade my friends for anything in the world. Now, on to the question.

-I like people who are comfortable in their own skin.
-I like people who like to talk and have fun.
-I like people who are generous, loving, and supportive.
-I like people who aren't afraid to say what they mean and mean what they say.
-I like people who are themselves.

The Advice Diary

Hey!

So, The Advice Diary is an old project of mine (one of the ones I gave up on) that I'm trying to get going again. It's just for advice on all kinds of different things. I'd really appreciate it if you'd go over and check it out, even if you don't need advice at the moment.

To open the diary you just click the lower right corner of the book. A couple pages in is a comment form where you can ask questions, and the pages after that are for advice, or if you don't want your question to be public you can use the contact form and I'll reply to you privately.

Please, this would mean a lot.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

Hey!

Today I went to see HP 7 P2, and overall it was kind of dissapointing. It was more like they chopped the ending off the first part and made it into its own movie. It's less half/half more 3/4 and 1/4. The 3D was lame and graphics were okay at best. It was pretty enjoyable for a simple fight scene that they stretched to 2 hours, but I probably wont see it again. They could've just shortened part 2 and made it all one movie, I think that splitting it into to was just a ploy to squeeze more money out of the franchise.

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 2: How have you changed in the past 2 years?

Hey!

So, it's day 2 of the 30 day blog challenge!!

How have you changed in the past 2 years?

-How do I even begin? I've changed so much over the past two years. I definately feel like I've become a better person and I'm a more confidant person. I'm a lot less judgemental and I'm more accepting of new people, even though I'm not very good at making friends. What I want to when I grow up has changed a lot, I've gone from lawyer/writer to singer to actor, to stage tech, to director, and I've finally settled on actor/director/writer. I've probably changed a lot more than that and I just don't see it. And my hair's changed a lot in the past 2 years.

P.S. I'm going to see HP 7 Part 2 later, so I might do a review on that.

My First Attempts at Blogging

Hey!

I'm going to talk about my first attempts at blogging. I had two "first" attempts, One was called "The Truth About Why You Suck", where I planned on complaining about the human race (this is where some of my post about society came from), I never aactually posted anything, but if you feel like looking at a blank blog, you find it here. The second one was called "For The Love of Books" and it was supposed to be a companion to my youtube channel (which I still sometimes/kinda post videos on), which, if you haven't guessed, is called "ForTheLoveOfBooks", and you should go check that out (shameless self promotion? Check.).

I guess the point of this is that in the past I didn't really stick with anything, I plan on using We Throw Rocks At Cars to change that, if i don't post for a couple of days, email me. Unless I posted previously that I wouldn't be able to (although, if I know in advance that I'm not going to be able to post, I'll probably pre-write some).

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 1: 1. Weird things you do when you’re alone.

Hey!

I got this idea from Claire over at Feeling Gorgeous, I don't know if she came up with it herself, but if she did all credit goes to her (I tried to comment and ask, but her page wouldn't let me).

1.Weird things you do while you're alone.
-I play my music extremely loud and dance around the house.
-I talk to my animals, it's like free therapy.
-I try to do creative artsy things, and fail.
-I watch really old movies from my childhood.
-I make my dogs dance with me. They love it.

October Road

Hey!

So, this show is kind of old (it's last episode aired in 2008), but I just started watching it on Hulu, and I'm obssessed. Like, really obsessed. It's got a great plot, adorable kids, and a love triangle (sorta). I would say more, but I have to go watch more. You should totally go watch it.

Sorry post have been so short lately, I've been busy.

My Tips for Blogging

Hey!

I know a lot of people struggle with getting views, followers, and topics for their blogs, this is a list of things I did to get my blog known (even though its just a little bit known, it's still more than I had in the beggining)

-Have a memorable/interesting blog name.
-I'm not saying that you should pick the craziest blog name ever, but you do need something that is going to catch peoples eye.
-Blog about stuff that you know and interests you.
-You could be writing the best, most grammatically correct things in the world, but if there's no knowledge or interest behind it, you're going to flop.
-Promote, promote, promote!
-Tell your friends, tell your enemies, tell random people on the street. Sign up for blog directories. Tweet about it, Facebook about it. Email everybody you went to highschool with. Blogger's "Next Blog" feature can only get you so far. I use Technorati and Blogged to help get views and followers.
-Try to stay current
If you're talking about something that happened twenty years ago, people are going to be asking "who cares" and X-ing out of the window.
-Network
Networking online for your blog is just as important as networking for a job. Comment on similar blogs, then after your signature link your blog. Guesty write, make friends.

Another Final Destination?!?

Hey!

If you were on blogtv with me yesterday during the first hour or so, you've probably already heards this, but most of you haven't.
I just saw the trailer for the new Final Destination, and all I can say is, really? Do we really need another one? I mean sure, the first four are funny, but you've got to know when to stop. And the 3D! I'm sick of 3D, if I see it again I'm probably going to punch someone in the face. Final Destination is going to be the Final Fantasy of Movies, and yes, I just realized they both have ''Final'' in their names. I'm sure it's just a coincidence. The directors and producers in Hollywood need to learn that just because you put it in 3D, doesn't mean your going to get better sales (that has to be what its about, 3D doesn't make the movie better). In fact, by now it's probably going to damage sales, I know I'm not the only one who's sick of 3D.

Here's proof: I hate 3D.

Final Destination 5 comes out on August 12.

How do you feel about all the 3D movies? Are you sick of it too? Are you looking forward to Final Destination 5?

Emma Stone

Hey!

Today I'm going to talk about my obssesion with Emma Stone. And when I say obsession, I mean obsession. I've seen every movie she's been in, which I know hasn't been many, but for me to go see a movie just because a certain person's in it, that's quite the event. I've never really been one to have a favorite actor/actress, which is weird because most people who want to act have a favorite actor or actress, my interest in acting has nothing to do with famous people. Anyway, back to Emma Stone. I love her, she has great comedic timing and she looks amazing as a redhead, I'm still working on liking her as a blond, her skin tone just doesn't look good with  blond hair, but I'll probably still go see "The Help" because I love her and the story looks good. I'm going to get the book and read it first though, so I can do a compare and contrast for you guys.
